Ugh! The dreaded month of January! With the holidays come & gone, what is a girl to do in the dead of winter at the lake!? Fear not- we've compiled a list of this season’s best activities to make Lake Geneva winter a little more bearable! What better than a fun winter outing, than the perfect Lake Life Store outfit to go with it!
Dinner & Concert Series 1/25
The party at PIER 290 doesn’t stop when summer ends. January 25th begins the first of four concerts in the Dinner & Concert series held in our lakefront Boat Showroom! Listen to the NEW Dueling Pianos show while enjoying a multi-course meal among friends! We love the Poppy Caftan for its versatility and flattering cut- making it a top contender for your Dinner & Concert look! For another option that’s sure to be a hit- we recommend the English Factory Contrast Stitch Midi Dress. This dress combines a classic, A-line style with white contrast stitching (which is all the rage right now), making it the perfect dress to wear as you dance the night away on January 25th! The fun is only beginning! The Dinner & Concert series continues throughout February and March. Get tickets here!
In a tradition as old as time (or 30 years according to Visit Lake Geneva), the first weekend in February brings talented Snow Sculptors from all over the globe to Downtown Lake Geneva for America’s Snow Sculpting Invitational! Though the conditions are unpredictable, it's best to plan on bundling up! Our Batela Nylon Jacket is a great way to add a pop of pink to your Winterfest outfit. This cute quilted jacket features a pink lining, buttons, and two front pockets. Show your love for the Lake Life even in the winter, with the Linda Richards Lake Life Slouch Hat in Navy! Together, this outfit provides the perfect way to keep warm, and look adorable, while yapping about which snow sculpture is your favorite. ♥️
Apres Ski
Whether hitting the slopes at Vail Resort or Alpine Valley, we all need a cozy outfit to enjoy the best part of the day: Apres ski. After a long day of skiing, who wouldn’t want to relax in the adorable Navy Hello Nite Snap Pullover? This extra soft button-up is complete with intricate embroidered flowers and matches fantastically with the Linda Richards Cashmere and Fur Pom Hat. Made from cashmere and genuine fur, we promise this is a hat you’ll never want to take off!
Ice Staking @ Destination Geneva National
We can’t all be gifted ice skaters, but you might as well look good trying!! Say less- our Orly Navy Quilted Windreaker offers the perfect mix of athleticism and fashion for your debut on the ice. As if this jacket couldn’t get any cuter, we recommend pairing it with a Linda Richards hat. Luckily, you don’t have to be a skating superstar to rock the Grey Superstar Beanie…or even the Navy version for the monochrome lovers! Unless you’re feeling brave & willing to take your chances skating on the frozen lake, we suggest skating at Destination Geneva National (formally The Ridge Hotel)! ❄️
Who said Lakeside lunches were just for the summer months!? While lunch at Pier 290 is always bound to be a treat, why not enjoy a meal overlooking STUNNING Geneva Lake, all from the comfort of your own igloo! Wondering what to wear to lunch in a winter wonderland? We’ve picked out an option that perfectly fits the whimsical fun of an igloo lunch. Starting with the English Factory Oversized Collared Star Button Shirt, a stellar top, which can be paired with the J.Society Satin Joggers in Black or the Tyler Boe Kennedy Leather Joggers. Finish this look off with the Tiana Hand Beaded Star Crossbody and you’ll be the talk of the igloo in this star-studded outfit! ⭐
In conclusion, winter at the Lake doesn’t have to be boring!! With activities like these, and outfit ideas to match, LG Winter might not be so bad after all. Find these winter looks & more at the Gage Lake Life Store: here to keep you looking your nautical best, all season long.
